The Baltimore Ravens and United Way of Central Maryland partnered to sponsor the sixth annual day of service on October 7, "Caw to Action." This annual day of service is designed to encourage Marylanders to volunteer while promoting local nonprofit organizations. As part of “Caw to Action,” local schools focus on raising awareness of community needs and fostering a spirit of kindness, generosity, and gratitude among students.
Recognizing the importance of gratitude in leadership, the Mitchell Leadership Institute at Maryvale Preparatory School teamed up with the Baltimore Ravens and United Way of Central Maryland for the “CAW to Action” Day. Students reflected and wrote a letter of kindness or gratitude to another student, administrator, or coach who positively impacted them and, as a special touch, hand-delivered their special note during the day.
