With our student-centered approach to teaching, we provide a unique experience for every young woman.
In addition to academic offerings on campus, Maryvale partners with two online learning platforms Virtual High School and One Schoolhouse. Dual Enrollment
Maryvale currently participates in Dual Enrollment Partnership with Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU). This partnership offers current Maryvale students the opportunity to enroll in pre-approved, dual enrollment courses taught at Maryvale. The selected courses within Maryvale’s English, Science, Theology, and World Language departments were recognized for their academic rigor and approved by the Academic Dean of NDMU. Upon successful completion of a dual enrollment course, students will earn the respective credits from NDMU and may request a transcript that reflects those credits.
At Maryvale, learning is not confined to the classroom. Students learn by taking field trips, hearing from professionals as guest speakers, and exploring different industries through real world experiences. Maryvale sends students to crime labs, innovation spaces, construction sites, and even out of the country to France.
Academic Signature Programs
For students interested in taking a deeper dive into arts or leadership, Maryvale provides 4 signature programs for advanced coursework. The Visual Arts Scholars program is for students who have a deep passion for art. Students create robust art portfolios as well as participate in national and regional competitions. The Performing Arts Mastery Track attracts students who want to explore the many course offerings available. At the duration of this track, Mastery Track students have a capstone course where they choreograph or create performances showcased at our arts festival. Lastly, the Leadership Certificate Program provides opportunities for students to take an academic deeper dive in leadership development. Students can choose between a STEAM or Humanities pathway. The culmination of the program requires a capstone course consisting of both primary and secondary research on a leadership topic of each student’s choice.
