It is a profound honor to be named Independent Catholic School Teacher of the Year by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. I absolutely love this work. It is a privilege to be able to teach and work alongside my students, who brighten each day with their vibrant creativity, intellectual curiosity, and clear-eyed compassion, which they hold for one another and for the world around them.

      Gathering Reflection While Observing the World

      The GROW Grant, established by Jennifer Hanley Armstrong ’00 and Gregory Armstrong, provides a financial award to deserving faculty or staff members at Maryvale. This grant award is used towards the personal or professional enrichment of a faculty or staff member. Knowing that educational enrichment and travel experiences (both domestic and international) rejuvenate and motivate educators, it is expected that this award will directly benefit the educational experience of Maryvale students.
