Parents and Alumnae for Inclusive Community (PAIC) is an educational space for community members to learn valuable topics in education. It is an opportunity for participants to expand their comfort zones and gain valuable resources. The space exists as an opportunity to “educate for and act on behalf of justice, peace, and care for all creation,” as highlighted in our Hallmarks. PAIC welcomes all Maryvale community members, and we focus on our collective growth. Some of the topics include:
- Independent School Case Studies
- Implicit and Explicit Biases
- Microaggressions
- Identity Conversations
At PAIC, we believe in the power of community. We provide dinner for our community, fostering a sense of connection and involvement as we engage in these necessary and relevant conversations.
Parents and Alumnae for Inclusive Community meet monthly to discuss topics related to justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The goal of this group is to develop community among those who share a common interest in learning more about and supporting marginalized groups.
The meetings are open to all parents and alumnae who are interested.

Additional Information
Important LinksAbsence ProtocolMaryvale places a high value on class attendance. There is a direct correlation between attendance and academic success. Attendance at school must be the first priority of the student and her parents/guardians. Every student is expected to be present and on time for every scheduled class.
Absence Protocol
Anytime a student will be absent from a class due to illness, doctor's appointment, travel, or college visit, parents will need to complete the attendance form below. This form should be completed in advance of the absence. Documentation of a doctor's appointment should be uploaded on the form. A college visit needs to be approved by the College Counselors in advance. A doctor's note is required for frequent and/or prolonged illnesses. Absence is any time a student is not in class or school. The administration determines whether an absence is excused or unexcused. A phone call on the day of the absence does not suffice for the attendance form. Unexcused absences could result in not being able to make up the work a student misses that day.
- Parents must complete the Absent Form for any partial or full day absence. If students are traveling, please complete the Absent Form two weeks before departure. Traveling could still be considered unexcused but we will try to work with families who alert us in advance.
- Students participating in extracurricular athletics must attend classes in-person. Students must be present by 11am to participate
The absent form is under the resources tab in OnCampus.

Turf Field Banners:
Banners around the field are a great way to advertise your company. Banners will be seen by Maryvale constituents, visiting schools, and hundreds of families whose teams rent our fields.
Banner Specifications: Vinyl banner with grommets and wind slits, approximately 24” x 6’
*Artwork for field banners should be professional and is subject to approval. Banners will be made of heavy-duty vinyl, opaque material with reinforced grommets. By renewing, you are guaranteed to keep your space and will have priority.
Adirondack Chair:
Create a lasting legacy to honor your daughter, coach, teacher, parent or alumna!
