- Ava Perlin
Ava has always been passionate about disability inclusion. Inspired by her younger sister Millie, who has Down Syndrome, she published a children’s book about her experience having a sibling with a disability. One in a Millieon helps siblings understand and embrace their feelings while standing proudly by their sibling’s side. She is passionate about making the world more accessible, inclusive, and kind, and she hopes to inspire others to take small steps toward inclusion in their own communities.
WBAL TV aired a story on Ava. Click here to watch the video. Those who have read the book say, "One in a Millieon is a stunning debut that left me deeply moved and full of hope.
