Attendance and Discipline:

  • Given the abbreviated nature of this class, students need to make every effort to be on time and present during every class period.
  • Students who miss more than 1 class day may not receive credit for the course. If this occurs, a student may not be able to return to Maryvale in the fall.
  • Two tardies count as one absence. Be on time for class!
  • Students are expected to follow the guidelines set forth in the Maryvale Student Handbook. If a student is attending Maryvale’s Summer Academy but is enrolled in a different institution for the 2026-2027 school year, they can review the Maryvale Student Handbook guidelines for a full understanding of expectations.

Dress Code:

Students are expected to be neat. Please review the following guidelines:

  • T-shirts with inappropriate wording or graphics are not permitted.
  • Halter-tops or any strapless garment or garments with spaghetti straps are not permitted.
  • Bare midriffs are not permitted.
  • Any clothing with holes is unacceptable.
  • Closed toe shoes are required.

If a student arrives at school dressed inappropriately, they may be sent home to change or their parents may be called and requested to bring more appropriate attire to school for their child.
