Maryvale celebrated the first round of the Class of 2026 Leadership Scholars on Thursday, January 15 as students delivered executive‑summary presentations highlighting months of research, analysis, and leadership development. The event is part of the Mitchell Leadership Institute and its specialized Leadership Certificate Program, which prepares young women for success in college, career, and community life.

Each Scholar previously completed a 30‑minute Capstone presentation for faculty and staff. The Executive Summary event featured concise presentations on topics ranging from women’s leadership in health and beauty to sustainability, youth outdoor leadership, workplace attire, and the influence of teen jobs. Projects also explored leadership in sports, crisis response, dietetics, and representation for women of color. Family, friends, faculty, and staff were invited.

The program underscores Maryvale’s 80‑year commitment to empowering young women through academic rigor and real‑world leadership experiences.
