Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Digital Media Specialist. This is an exempt, full-time,12-month, in-person position. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively, specifically with the Director of Communications and Marketing as well as with members of the Admissions and Advancement Departments. S/he should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail. This position will report directly to the Director of Communications and Marketing. The ideal candidate should possess the high-level skills to advance Maryvale’s brand and social media presence.
Essential job functions include:
- Primary responsibility is the management (creation and execution) of Maryvale’s social media platforms, including writing copy, taking photos and videos, and creating infographics.
- Work with the Director of Communications and Marketing to develop and manage the social media calendar.
- Manage Maryvale’s growing social media intern program.
- Assist in managing photography for on- and off-site school events.
- Create event programs and print or digital marketing advertisements.
- Knowledge of picture and video editing is a must.
- Basic graphic design skills are required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Media, Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field required.
- Two to three years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Capability of balancing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills.

Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a Middle School/Upper School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is an exempt, full time, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record with experience. This position will report directly to both the Middle School Head and the Upper School Head.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, document, and teach lesson plans consistent with national standards and grade level/departmental guidelines.
- Teach math courses: Middle School Math through Algebra II
- Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program
- Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math or Secondary Education with a concentration in mathematics required

Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking an Upper School Counselor (primarily serving grades 9–10) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an exempt, full-time, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in counseling along with relevant experience. This position reports directly to the Director of School Counseling, the Dean of Students, and the Division Heads.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide student, school, and family support through counseling, crisis prevention and intervention, and referrals to outside mental health professionals as needed.
- Provide school-based individual and group counseling focused on coping strategies, social-emotional development, and healthy decision-making.
- Support students’ academic success by developing executive functioning skills, study skills, organization, goal setting, self-advocacy, and time management.
- Collaboratively develop and support the Upper School Advisory curriculum and programming in partnership with the Director of School Counseling and the Advisory Committee.
- Proactively engage with students, faculty, administration, and families to foster a warm, inclusive, inviting, and responsive counseling environment
- Fulfill responsibilities in accordance with ethical and legal standards for school counselors, including maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation of meetings and communications through logs and records.
- Plan and implement comprehensive, developmentally appropriate wellness programming and mental health education for students, faculty, and families.
- Participate fully in the life of the school community through attendance at after-school student events.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field; MSDE certification and/or Maryland state licensure is preferred.
- Candidates with an LMSW are eligible to receive clinical supervision toward LCSW-C licensure.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach who can lead at the level this program demands—on the field, in the locker room, and as a representative of Maryvale. The season runs February 16 through mid-May 2027. Compensation is $$3,000–$$5,000 for the season, commensurate with experience; performance incentives may be available for the right candidate. Full-time employment will be considered where skills align with broader school needs. The position reports to the Director of Athletics.
The Program
Maryvale Lacrosse is currently ranked #1 in the nation and is the reigning state champion. We attract standout student-athletes who go on to compete at the Division I level and play a nationally competitive schedule that demands excellence from our coaching staff every day. The incoming Head Coach inherits exceptional talent, an engaged parent community, and full institutional backing—and will be expected to sustain and build on that standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the program: tryouts, roster, player development, and game strategy.
- Plan and run all practices and games, Monday–Friday after dismissal, with potential morning or weekend commitments as needed.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes—cultivating confidence, character, and competitive drive in each player.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team environment where every athlete is held to a standard of excellence and mutual respect.
- Provide regular updates to the Athletic Director and school administration on team progress, player development, and program needs—keeping leadership informed and positioned to support the program.
- Manage communications with parents and students in a consistent, professional, and timely manner.
- Mentor and align assistant coaches around a unified program philosophy.
- Support college recruitment efforts, leveraging relationships with collegiate programs on behalf of players.
- Oversee fundraising efforts and represent the program at school and community events.
- Accompany student-athletes on the team bus to all away competitions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Substantial lacrosse coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or competitive club level.
- Demonstrated success developing elite athletes and sustaining a winning program culture.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the emotional intelligence to coach young women effectively.
- CPR certification (on-site training available if needed) and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience coaching girls’ lacrosse; familiarity with the collegiate recruiting landscape.
- Background in an independent or Catholic school environment.
- US Lacrosse coaching certification or equivalent credential.

- As a condition of employment, the Head Coach will execute a professional conduct agreement inclusive of a non-disparagement provision covering the school, its students, staff, and program—during and following the engagement.
- Social media activity related to the program must align with Maryvale’s mission and comply with school media policy.
