On Friday, November 15, the Maryvale community came together for a school-wide day of service sponsored by the 10-year celebration of the Patricia J. Mitchell '65 Leadership Institute.
"Bringing together everyone from the 6th grade all the way up to the seniors creates that really good communal aspect and brings together more sisterhood,"
—Cora H. '25.
In less than two hours, students completed 550 projects!
During Upper School and Middle School advisory, students made snack packs, sandwich bags, blankets, wrote letters, and wrapped toys. All of these activities support a variety of different organizations in the Baltimore area, like the Baltimore Hunger Project, Mitch Bricks/Eastern Family Resource Center, Cross Catholic Outreach, Love for Our Elders, Best Buddies, CASA, and Ronald McDonald House. Maryvale families donated all of the items used for the service projects.
