Leadership Certificate Program

Maryvale Student Leaders

Maryvale is taking the lead once again, becoming the first all-girls' school to launch a Leadership Certificate Program.

Set to debut in the 2018-19 school year under Maryvale’s signature Leadership Institute, the Leadership Certificate Program will provide students with customized, in-depth leadership training and experiences that will further distinguish them throughout their educational, professional and personal endeavors.

In addition to receiving a commemorative certificate of achievement, students who participate in this Upper School program will graduate from Maryvale having completed a specific course track, at least 30 leadership service hours, a capstone independent study, a leadership portfolio and a comprehensive panel interview. The capstone independent study will draw heavily from original research conducted through an internship that is related to a chosen leadership topic.

Students who fulfill the requirements of the Leadership Certificate Program will earn a distinctive cord to wear around their graduation gown and receive special recognition at their Commencement Ceremony.
