Upper School Leadership Electives
As part of the Mitchell Leadership Institute, Maryvale offers three Upper School electives to build business acumen, inspire innovative thinking, and further develop mature leadership skills.
Cora H. '25 is a seven-year Maryvale student, a six-year gym meet captain, and the founder of the Stock Market Club, a women's financial literacy club. She has taken Intro to Leadership, Intro to Business, and will complete her Senior Capstone in the spring.
"The Mitchell Leadership Institute has allowed me to become a cohesive and well-rounded leader. Beginning in 6th grade, I was provided with a plethora of opportunities to exert my leadership skills. One of the most important lessons I have learned through these leadership classes is the importance of advocating for yourself and others.
The amount of diverse opportunities the Mitchell Leadership Institute has provided me has extended beyond just the classroom. As I graduate, I will be forever grateful for the opportunities the Mitchell Leadership Institute has provided to me as I plan to carry these skills into my collegiate career."
