Summer Academy

Maryvale Preparatory School offers the courses below for initial credit over the summer months. Maryvale Summer Academy is open for enrollment to rising 9th - 12th grade Maryvale students. Given permission is granted from their respective Academic Dean, enrollment in specific courses is also open to siblings of Maryvale students and students who attend Calvert Hall College or Loyola Blakefield. Each course will count toward the 2024-2025 academic year and will be reflected properly on respective report cards.Please note all courses are subject to minimum enrollments.

All students must be registered and paid in full by Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

In addition to the credit-bearing courses, Maryvale also offers the following Fall academic preparation opportunities. Only students enrolled at Maryvale for the 2024-2025 school year may sign up for these in-person sessions.

Attendance and Discipline:

  • Students who miss more than 2 class days (including online sessions) will not receive credit for the course. If this occurs, a student may not be able to return to Maryvale in the fall.
  • Two tardies count towards as one absence. Be on time for class!
  • Students are expected to follow the guidelines set forth in the Maryvale Student Handbook. If a student is attending Maryvale's Summer Academy but is enrolled in a different institution for the 2024-2025 school year, they can review the Maryvale Student Handbook guidelines here for a full understanding of expectations. 

Dress Code:

Students are expected to be neat. Please review the following guidelines:

  • T-shirts with inappropriate wording or graphics are not permitted.
  • Halter-tops or any strapless garment or garments with spaghetti straps are not permitted.
  • Bare midriffs are not permitted.
  • Any clothing with holes is unacceptable.
  • Closed toe shoes are required.

If a student arrives at school dressed inappropriately, they may be sent home to change or their parents may be called and requested to bring more appropriate attire to school for their child.
