Our one-of-a-kind Leadership Certificate Program, launched in 2018-2019, offers specialized, in-depth leadership training and experiences that will further distinguish young women throughout their educational, professional, and personal endeavors.

  • Commemorative certificate of achievement
  • Upper School special leadership track - Leadership Certificate Program or STEAM Leadership Certificate Program
  • At least 25 leadership service hours
  • Capstone independent study for a semester during senior year
  • Original research on leadership discipline, 30-minute presentation on findings and comprehensive leadership interview

There are two tracks: Leadership Certificate Program and STEAM Leadership Certificate Program. Both require two leadership courses. Leadership requires two Leadership Certificate Electives and STEAM requires three STEAM Certificate electives (in science and math'technology and math; science and technology).

The Capstone Experience

As part of the Leadership Capstone course, each student selects a leadership-related topic and conducts original research, working closely with an Advisor from the school’s faculty, staff or administration.

  • In-depth primary and secondary research
  • Opportunity to shadow or intern in field of her choice
  • 30-minute presentation of findings and conclusions
  • Shorter presentation at Leadership Capstone Presentation and Reception for parents, faculty, staff, administration and younger Leadership Scholars
