Cirque with a Broadway twist! Join Jack Everly and the BSO as acrobats and aerialists dazzle with spectacular music from Broadway’s greatest shows.
Fusing together elements of cirque acrobatics, classical dance and contemporary theater, Troupe Vertigo brings audiences on a spellbinding journey through the world of artistic movement. Consisting of world-class aerial artists, contortionists and ballet dancers, Troupe Vertigo represents a unique collaboration equally at home with a full symphonic orchestra or in your local theater. Formed in 2009 and led by artistic director Aloysia Gavre and technical director Rex Camphuis, Troupe Vertigo offers multi-genre programs that are appropriate for audiences of all ages.
On the Symphonic stage, Troupe Vertigo has created custom programs for major orchestras, recently with ‘Cirque Goes to the Movies’ at the Philly Pops and ‘Cirque Goes Broadway’ with conductor Jack Every and the Indianapolis Symphony.
Regarded as experts in their craft, Aloysia and Rex frequently bring their gifts and knowledge to the film and television industry. Recent highlights included working with Rebel Wilson in Pitch Perfect 2 and with Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz in Water for Elephants.
