The Future of Maryvale

It is with great pride that we share Maryvale’s Strategic Plan, which will determine our priorities and drive our investments for the next three years.

Maryvale Strategic PlanThe Strategic Plan, approved in January 2017, reaffirms Maryvale’s mission and values rooted in the hallmarks of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, while building on the school’s strength of providing a customized approach to education - ensuring that all girls can learn, lead and succeed academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally.

As you will see in the summary document here, the plan focuses on six key areas: Academic Excellence; Faith and Mission; Student Life; School Culture; Innovative Programming; and Stewardship of Resources.

This thoughtful and ambitious plan calls for the creation of many new programs and initiatives, including but not limited to the following: a Learning Commons with state-of-the-art technology to support all facets of academics; a career mentoring program; service opportunities with sister SND schools; as well as expanded programs focused on diversity and inclusivity.

The plan also calls for the launch of a capital campaign for endowment, facility andprogram enhancements that would incorporate funds for both operations and traditional endowment, allowing for customized contribution opportunities. To this end, the Board of Trustees has authorized a feasibility study, which will help us determine the size and scope of the upcoming campaign.

On behalf of the Maryvale community, we extend our sincerest appreciation to all participants in this planning process for their commitment. We are grateful to have so many who care deeply about our school and its future.

Sincerely,

John M. Novotny
