Performing Arts

The Music and Drama Department is a place where our students can encounter the performing arts. Students are given many opportunities to hear the great musical classics of Western civilization and of the world. They are invited to join their voice or musical instrument with others in one of our choruses or instrumental music program. In music classes, singing and playing instruments are interwoven in the curriculum and form the core of Class Voice and Class Piano offerings. Performance in theatre is also a large component of our department. In addition to our Drama Class elective, we offer two full-length, main-stage productions each year. All students are encouraged to join in the production--as actresses or crew members. The basic philosophy of all our performance groups and productions is: If you want to be a part of this, we will find a spot for you!
