Maryvale’s Molly McAleer ’19 and Riley Wagner ’18 are taking full advantage of the summer months to enhance their athletic and leadership skills in preparation for the upcoming school year. Varsity Basketball player Molly McAleer ’19 was chosen to play for the USA Select team during the United World Games in Austria. Molly led Team USA to a gold medal after showcasing dominant performances on the court against numerous international teams. The United World Games also featured training camps led by renowned international professional athletes and unique opportunities to learn about collegiate competition and scholarships.
Riley, a Varsity Lacrosse player, participated in the inaugural Epoch ILWomen Committed Academy, an invite-only camp for committed players, and represented Marist College, her future NCAA Division I school. On the field, Riley and committed lacrosse players from across the country continued their skill development by learning from some of the best in the game. Off the field, the girls participated in workshops on character and leadership development, academic advising and media training.
