Catholic Schools Week

Posted February 1

A highlight for students each year and a bright spot in the midst of winter is Spirit Week, February 21-24. Spirit Week is sponsored by the Athletic Association, which designates a specific theme for students to portray each day. Competition among classes runs high!

Both the Middle School and the Upper School classes compete among themselves. The week culminates with an Athletic Association dance (for Upper School students) on Friday, February 24. We hope you will enjoy the spirit, excitement and genuine fun experienced by your daughter(s) this week. And yes, regular classes with teaching, learning and homework continue as usual!

Our Winter Sports Season is quickly moving into final games and tournament competition. Congratulations are in order for our players, coaches and parents for a terrific season.

Upper School Spring Sports Tryouts begin the week of February 21. Middle School Spring Sports Tryouts begin the week of March 5. Middle School Winter Sports Awards will be presented in Community Homeroom on Tuesday, March 6. All Upper School Sports Awards will be given at the Athletic Awards Banquet on Monday, May 14 at 6 p.m. in the Rector Gymnasium.

The cast and crew for our spring production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” are hard at work. Please join us for a performance, March 29 – April 1 in our soon-to-be completed auditorium!!

Please join me in extending sympathy to the families of Katie Perzinski ’14 on the death of her cousin, Brianna Bond ’13 on the death of her paternal grandfather, and Nicole Wagner ’15 on the death of her maternal grandmother.
