  • 2013 Outdoor Track & Field Recap

    The 2013 Outdoor Track and Field team finished in 2nd place at the championship on Saturday. The team scored 121 points, a new record for Maryvale! Twenty medals were awarded throughout the day, three relays set school records, and over 15 records were broken!

  • Former Athletic Director Honored at Loyola University

    Anne McCloskey, Maryvale's beloved Athletic Director for 25 years, was honored at Loyola University of Maryland on February 23, 2013. Anne, who joined the athletic department at Loyola in 1976, not only turned around three programs for women athletes (field hockey, basketball and lacrosse) but also fostered the growth and development of athletic opportunities for both women and men. She was a strong advocate for implementation of Title IX and worked hard to make it happen at the collegiate level. Anne was inducted into Maryvale's inaugural class of the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. Congratulations, Mrs. McCloskey!

  • Indoor Track & Field Finishes in 3rd Place at Championship

    -Alicya Guckert finished in 2nd place in the pole vault
    -Jasmine Brown finished in 1st place in the high jump
    -Sam Kozlowski finished in 2nd in the shot put
    -Olivia Tauypen finished in 2nd place in the hurdles
    -Elena Burtis finished in 3rd place in the pole vault
    -Kendall Gray, Gabby Lago, Maggie Huey and Julia Noel finished in 3rd place in the 4 X 800 meter Relay

  • Megan Huether '02, Team USA Lacrosse Goalie, Makes Seven Saves in Victory

    As quoted by the Baltimore Sun: Team USA defeated two-time defending national champion Northwestern, 16-9, on Sunday, January 27. On Saturday, January 26, Team USA defeated Syracuse, 19-11. Goalie Megan Huether (Maryvale Prep) made seven saves in the win. Earlier Saturday, Team USA defeated England, 20-9.

  • Jasmine Brown '14 Places #1 in High Jump

    Junior Jasmine Brown cleared 5' 2.5'' to win the ITF league meet in the high jump. Jasmine's performance qualified her for the New Balance National Indoor Track and Field meet held in New York this March. Way to go, Jasmine!
