  • Maryvale lacrosse star selected for Brine Classic

    Incoming ninth grader Celladean Arthur was named a 2014 Brine National All-Star and was selected to represent Maryland at the 2014 Brine National Lacrosse Academy and Brine National Classic this summer. The Academy gives top middle school players the chance to enhance their skills under the guidance of NCAA lacrosse coaches. Maryland finished the Classic with a 5-1 record, capturing the Middle School Division.

  • Maryvale Athlete named MVP of Under Armour Girls' Lacrosse Classic

    Elite high school lacrosse players gathered on Saturday at the Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson for the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic. Among the competitors was Maryvale’s own, Miranda Ibello ’15. According to the Baltimore Sun, Ibello was named tournament MVP for her "overall prowess.” Read the complete article here.

  • Triple Threat: Amanda Bochniak '13 named three times to Big East Weekly Honor Roll

    Maryvale alumna Amanda Bochniak '13 was named for the third time to the Big East Conference Weekly Honor Roll. Bochniak plays lacrosse for Marquette University, which featured the exciting news on its website. Read the article here.

  • Two magazines showcase Maryvale's lacrosse program

    Two publications have highlighted Maryvale's lacrosse program. Lacrosse Magazine ranked Maryvale as No. 5 in the country on its “Preseason Nike/U.S. Lacrosse National High School Girls’ Top 25” List. And Baltimore Magazine listed the school's lacrosse team as a team to watch in 2014. The local publication also profiled Miranda Ibello, a Maryvale junior, as one of the area's lacrosse "Rising Stars."

  • Kendall Gray Breaks Nine-Year Record, Becomes Maryvale's Top 800-Meter Runner

    On December 6, Kendall Gray made history and broke a nine-year record by more than seven seconds to become Maryvale’s top 800-meter runner with a time of 2:25.62. Prior to Gray's outstanding run, one of Maryvale's greats, Glenna Sullivan, had held the record for nearly a decade with 2:32.90. Check out Kendall's IAAM Athlete of the Week article here.

  • 2013 Outdoor Track & Field Recap

    The 2013 Outdoor Track and Field team finished in 2nd place at the championship on Saturday. The team scored 121 points, a new record for Maryvale! Twenty medals were awarded throughout the day, three relays set school records, and over 15 records were broken!

  • Former Athletic Director Honored at Loyola University

    Anne McCloskey, Maryvale's beloved Athletic Director for 25 years, was honored at Loyola University of Maryland on February 23, 2013. Anne, who joined the athletic department at Loyola in 1976, not only turned around three programs for women athletes (field hockey, basketball and lacrosse) but also fostered the growth and development of athletic opportunities for both women and men. She was a strong advocate for implementation of Title IX and worked hard to make it happen at the collegiate level. Anne was inducted into Maryvale's inaugural class of the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. Congratulations, Mrs. McCloskey!
